Day 1-October 1 ARRIVAL
Afternoon

  • Arrival! Our team will meet you at the Zvartnots International Airport and transfer you to the hotel.
  • Check in hotel!

Evening

  • Welcome Dinner (Courtesy of the Sena Group)
  • Night Walk at Republic Square, home to History Museum, the National Gallery, the Government House and iconic fountains featuring shows choreographed with music & lights thru North Avenue, Swan Lake and Opera House.
  • Overnight stay.

Day 2-October 2 YEREVAN
Morning

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Sightseeing in Yerevan.
  • Tour of Yerevan History Museum to explore about the history of Yerevan and its’ lifestyle
  • Tour of Matenadaran museum (UNESCO World’s Documentary Heritage).
  • Tour of the tour of “Cafesjian Center for Arts” museum.
  • Walk up to the Cascade Monument to see the most beautiful Panorama of Yerevan City” and snow capped “Mount Ararat”.
  • Wine taste at Cascade Royal restaurant with gorgeous view of Yerevan.

Afternoon

  • Lunch at “Dolmama Restaurant” with traditional Armenian cuisine.
  • Tour of the “Opera House” to see its beautiful exterior and interior majesty of architecture.
  • Wine Tasting and tour of “Ararat Brandy Company”, supplier of the world renowned-brandy admired by Frank Sinatra, Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill.
  • Live Traditional Folk Dance Performance and tour of “Megerian Carpet Museum” not only to have a great time and learn so much about the history of Armenian rug-making but also see the weavers in process (the amount of patience and dedication it takes to work in that profession is astounding!) and you make a few knots by yourself with their guidance.

Evening

  • Dinner at “Tavern Yerevan” restaurant and tavern with comfortable and relaxing place, all decorated in Armenian style ending the day with homemade apricot and peach vodka.
  • After dinner, gather in the Hotel’s Restaurant Terrace for a cocktail reception featuring some of our bartender’s best Armenia-inspired creations.
  • Overnight stay.

Day 3-October 3 ETCHMIADZIN, SARDARAPAT, ZVARTNOTS, YEREVAN
Morning

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Tour of the “Etchmiadzin Cathedral” to explore the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia.
  • Visit to the “Saradarapat Memorial” to understand Armenian ethnic cultural differences and way of esthetical thinking of this brave and ancient nation.
  • Visit to the “Zvartnots Temple” to explore the brightest landmark of medieval Armenian architecture.
  • Back to Yerevan

Afternoon

  • Lunch at “Sherep Restaurant” just at the Republic Square.
  • Visit to the “Armenian Genocide Memorial” to pay tribute to the Memory of the Armenian Genocide Victims.
  • Tour of the “History Museum of Armenia” to learn about exhibitions starting from Early Stone Age up to Modern times. (Do not forget to see the oldest leather shoe in the world!)
  • Visit to “Vernissage” large open air-market to snatch up a variety of traditional Armenian artwork, such as rugs, woodcarvings, paintings, musical instruments, jewelry and more…

Evening

  • Dinner at “8-rd Hrashaliq (8th Miracle)” lies in the gorge of Yerevan where nature and gastronomy meet that guests can sit indoors or outdoors, whilst enjoying the soothing sound of the nearby river and the calmness of nature.
  • Back to hotel and overnight stay.

Day 4-October 4 GEGHARD, GARNI, SEVAN LAKE, DILIJAN
Morning

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Tour of the “Geghard Monastery”, incredible ancient Armenian monastery, partly carved out of a mountain with number of churches and tombs, most of them cut into the rock, which illustrate the very peak of Armenian medieval architecture.
  • Tour of “Garni”, the only pagan temple in Armenia, a unique masterpiece of Hellenistic architecture in Armenia, the pagan temple of the Sun, Garni.
  • Drive to mesmerizing “Lake Sevan”, Armenian Sea-Jewel of Armenia” the largest and the most beautiful lake in the Caucasus with clean fresh water. See how every hour the water changes its color from azure to turquoise to navy blue.
  • Tour of the monastic complex of Sevanavank, built in 874, located nearby Lake Sevan.

Afternoon

  • Lunch at “Tsovasar Sevan Restaurant ” with stunning views of the ice capped mountains and Lake Sevan.
  • After lunch drive to Dilijan, “Armenian Switzerland”, where you will enjoy the peace and tranquility as you embark on a leisurely exploration of the Dilijan National Park. The forested and reclusive town is home to numerous Armenian artists, composers, and filmmakers and features some traditional Armenian architecture.
  • Tour of the “Haghartsin Monastery”, one of the wonders of Armenian medieval architecture.
  • Tour of the “Goshavank Monastery” beacon of science and culture of ancient Armenia.
  • Walk on “Sarambeyan Street”, full of craftsman’s workshops, gallery and a museum.
  • Visit to Dilijan Historic Center.

Evening

  • Dinner at “Flying Ostrich by Dolmama Restaurant” in Dilijan where famous American Actor George Clooney had dinner.
  • Back to Yerevan and overnight stay.

Day 5- October 5 BYURAKAN
Morning

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a historical journey discovering the famous sights of Byurakan.
  • Explore “Amberd Fortress”, ruins of a 7th-century fortress and 11th-century bathhouse on the side of Mount Aragats.
  • Visit and learn about “Byurakan Observatory” located on the slope of Mount Aragats.

Afternoon

  • Lunch at Village restaurant.
  • Explore “Basilica of Saint Hovhannes”, 10th century basilica.
  • Tour of the “Artavazik Church” of the 7th century with a huge 13th-century “Khachkar Monument”.
  • Do not miss “Kari Lich” (Rock Lake) located in 3200 m altitude, one of the best view in Armenia; overcast skies hugging mountain peaks and picturesque lake rows of distinctive.
  • Tour of the Saghmosavank Monastery.

Evening

  • Back to Yerevan.
  • Dinner at “Kovkas Tavern”, or “Caucasus Tavern”, where the Caucasian hospitality and cuisine, together with the best cognacs and wines of the region are served; Armenian and Georgian chefs serve even the forgotten dishes of the region.
  • Coffee and chat at “Jazzve Café” to try and enjoy delicious Armenian coffee.
  • Overnight stay and rest!

Day 6-October 6 KHOR VIRAP, NORAVANK, ARENI
Morning

  • Breakfast at hotel!
  • Tour of the “Khor Virap Monastery”, one of the most popular touristy destinations in Armenia, standing before the snowcapped flanks of Mount Ararat offering a spectacular view of the mountain, the national symbol of Armenia, is the place of pilgrimage and one of the most worshipped ones in Armenia and the holy site for the Armenian Apostolic Church.
  • Tour of “Noravank: Magic Monastery of Armenia”, masterpiece of the Armenian architecture; one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Armenia, encircled by fantastic red rocks, the relief sculpture over its doors depicts Christ flanked by Peter and Paul.

Afternoon

  • Lunch at “Lchak Restaurant” laid out in a very aesthetically pleasing way around a pond with fish and ducks.

ARENI WINE FESTIVAL

  • Drive to “Areni”, the oldest winemaking facility in the world, dating from approximately 4100 BCE, “Areni 1- Cave”.
  • Start enjoying and becoming part of “Annual Areni Wine Festival” that features products of local winemakers and cheese makers. Both professional and homemade wine and cheese producers become ready at the wine festival. Performances of traditional songs and dances are held throughout the festival. Wine-tasting as many wines as you want is okay (there are over 100 wines from 30 producers).

Evening

  • Back to Yerevan.
  • Farewell Dinner at “Mezzo Classic House Club” enjoying jazz music, tango, pop, fusion, and rock music (Courtesy of the Sena Group).
  • Overnight stay.

Day 7- October 7 DEPARTURE
Morning

  • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed through In-Room Dining.
  • Departure.
